It's painted in replica Anthony Gobert colours. The last pic is the entirety of the electrical system excluding coils, tacho and starter. Very basic 'no frills' harness. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

It would be real nice if i managed to score the M2 frame off the bloke who i got the fairing from. He's now parting out the rest of the bike but he said he might just hang the rare frame on his wall .
I should have bought the complete bike off him when i had the chance. Probably would have cost less than what it's going to cost me to build this one _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I know nothing about Kawasaki ZXR750's - so whats special about an M2 frame?
I do like this one on Rare SportsBikes For Sale
http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=131040264586#ht_166wt_1127
is that different to yours? (I realise the "R" is in a different place). _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

the RR was the homologation model with flatside carbs, etc.................
"think" the first was the "K" model and then the later version was the "M" |

Correct. The k was a race version of the J. The m was the race version of the L... _________________ Pomps

Yep Pomps and Stockcar are correct. The 'R' models (K1, K2 & M1, M2) had some nice additions that the standard road versions did not. Flatslide carbs, close ratio gearbox, adjustable swingarm pivot, aluminium tank, fully adjustable suspension, single seat. I think there were only around 200 produced (for each country?) each year to meet homologation rules. Very little difference between a stock L model frame and an M model frame other than the adjustable swingarm pivot. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

For curiousity sake, i weighed the fuel tanks to see if there is much difference. Aluminium tank is 4.3 kg's and carbon fibre tank is 3.6 kg's. I'll have to drain and weigh my stock steel tank now to see the difference. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

so wouldn't an "L" frame with a rear shock ride-height adjuster give the same geometry adjustability as an "M" frame with its adjustable swingarm pivot - or does the "M" frame allow you to lengthen / shorten the wheelbase too? _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.

The 'M' model has an excentric block on the swingarm pivot to allow for 4 position adjustment

My riding abillity is far from needing anything like that sort of adjustabillity anyway. I'll be happy just to get the thing around the track and back to the pits _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

looks like a 2-position eccentric block that allows the wheelbase to be lengthened / shortened - nice touch for a racebike. Can calm those wheelies............. _________________ Bimota SB6 and Benelli TNT 899S road bikes.
