Yup I had the same problem when I first tried to upload an image. This might help; First click on Upload Image, this opens a new page, then click Browse button and find your image, then click Uploadfiles button which opens a new page with target address for your image. Right click on target address and copy shortcut. Then use your browser back button to get back to your original post, then hit the Img button, then paste your shortcut and then hit the Img button again. Then hopefully when you hit the preview button your image will appear in the text.
if you need to adjust the size of your image, the paint programme in Windows has a handy resize function. |

Here you go:
You were nearly there. You just needed to click on the "Img" box before and after your code. |

well things have been moving a bit slowly the last few months, but starting to get a few things back from paint, so hopefully get new bearings fitted and have a rolling chassis in the not too distant future.

Very Nice Waggy...looks like another great credit to you...I presume thats the rear disc carrier that you've had sprayed? As you're putting on a fresh front set from Sports motorcycles...must get down there one day...its only about 5 miles from where I work...met up with them at their stand at Spa Frncorchamps this year...been meaning to go round their workshop...I have a spare Db1 Clutch cover that I want milling out to vent it...and its a service they offer...also to look at spare discs etc |

thanks 2bims, yup that's the rear disc carrier(was originally yellow), the original rear disk is in fine shape and will go back on. Have new disks from sports motorcycles for the front, aprilia calipers and master cylinder from rsv will bite on these, unfortunately billet fork adaptors were accidently painted red and are back at painters to be painted gold same as forks. The wheels took a while, had to be sent away for some top secret chemical dip, to inhibit corrosion, otherwise the paint won't adhere properly to the mag wheels. My painter has tried unsuccessfully to aquire this dip but apparently no one will reveal the chemical ingredient's, anyone out there know what it is and make my painter a happy man |

lovely bits waggy.
I know of etch primer for aluminium, which I thought could also be used on magnesium, it can be sprayed too but carefully because it's acid.
I would leave as much as possible to the best professionals I could find when it comes to magnesium.
Did you consider getting them x-rayed or did you do crack detection? Magnesium is funny stuff when it gets old.
and I heard of a Campagnolo breaking up when it was almost new on an SB3!
Without trying to get too dispondent . . . good to see the progress
all the best

Hi crankcase, know what you mean about magnesium, am not a great fan of the stuff, they might test fine now, but you always worry about the longevity and durability of magnesium. originally painter tried etch primers but mag always reacted after a few days, hence the wheels were sent to a specialist who checked and dipped the wheels to inhibit corrosion and provide a good key to paint on. |

The HB2s coming along nicely. It'll look great when finished.
The primer for magnesium is/was zinc chromate. It's that yellowy/green stuff.
It's been phased out due to its toxicity, and was referred to as 'cancer in a can'. |

Looking great Keith. Must get another run down next time i'm passing. I assume you're using Paintbox again. They sorted the wheels out on my RS125 Race Bike. Had the same problem with the magnesium. _________________ Dreaming of a Tesi in the garage. |

New bearings fitted and frame glued and bolted, no major issues along the way, hope the rest goes as smoothly.

A credit to you as always but then we're getting used to that from you Waggy.
Is the trophy on the windowsill for the "cleanest and tidiest garage in....the World".??..I want to come round and mix up your spanners on the wall and see if you can sleep at night....
Make sure you get some more coffee in as it looks like you're fresh out...and with the effort you put in make it a 2Kg tub so you can burn that midnight oil and finish it off..... |

The trophy is an incense burner, which I might use to burn the midnight oil
Your critical eye failed to notice the large stew pot that makes an excellent engine stand, better get the wheels on quick before her indoors notices its missing |
