The front stainless exhaust collet/manifold that the downpipes slip into has cracked on the weld and the pipe! Looks like a purged weld too!, only thing i can think of is in its previous life , the bike was jacked under the zorst! Mental! Tig time me thinks! _________________ wot you got ?...me..well--

I lift my bikes under the pipes.
Just another reason to have a proper IL4 engine _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

The pipes on the 8 , are just slip together and spring held! So they move about a bit! If it had been my R1, then its more solid/fixed! And wouldnt be a problem suppose!, besides, the crack is right around the collet weld and down the pipe! So substandard to say the least! I need a replacement - period! Wonder how much and availability from bimota! _________________ wot you got ?...me..well--

Either
get it welded up or get a exhaust company to copy the system
You might find a TL1000R pipe will fit, then maybe look for a Yoshi, Acro system. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
