Hello All
Found this courtesy of Schussboelie. Currently have an SB8R which I've only managed to cover 400 miles on in the past year...taking it to a grand total of 800...almost run in and it's only 7 years old!
Big Bimota fan, always wanted one ever since I saw them at the NEC Bike Show in Birmingham back in the early '90's with their huge price tags!
Couple of pics of SB8 with some SB8RS parts fitted:

Ouch, that looks like an expensive mistake. I presume it was an insurance write off. |

Well actually it was covered by Third Party Only insurance!
I sold it to some chap near Stansted airport for £1,100 who had 23 Bimotas and reckoned he was going to restore it back to original.
It also had the original silk Bimota cover which are apparently quite rare so I sold that to the chairman of the Bimota's owners club for £50 Still lost a shitload though _________________ Seven

Hi
At that price I would have bought it. I am tempted to get an SB6 but to try for some top speed runs on it (managed 181.8mph through timing lights on an unfaired 1200 Bandit), but doing this I would feel better starting with one where I could stick on some pattern bodywork and wouldn't feel the need to keep the bodywork immaculate.
All the best

Should have bought my 6R Keith, it would have been perfect for what you want but it's half way to being streetfighterd at the mo |

Hi
Quite possibly. I really should avoid spending money for a bit. For playing silly buggers on a drag stip I have picked up a cheap GSXR1100L.
All the best

Still got an oil cooler for a 1100L(or is it an 1100M, same anyway) in the garage if you need one |

Can't remember the exact location as it was over 5 years ago, but it was a small village near Stansted. I remember he didn't live in a particularly nice area...it looks like he spent all his money on motorbikes instead of his house. Definitely got his priorities right
He had several stored upstairs in his bedrooms, some in the conservatory, obviously a few in the garage, plus anywhere else he could squeeze a Bimota in. I often wonder whether he ever got it back on the road. _________________ Seven |
