Looks like a new take on the run flat moouse which I've used and it's worked for me.
Saying that, I've rode all the way from the Isle of man to home with a flat rear tyre(not recomended at home boy's and girls). Made the handling rather interesting but no major dramas.
The side walls on modern bike tyres are so low profile that they tend to support their selves for a while.
I've even had a blow out on the rear, approaching a roundabout at supersonic speed and made it around the roundabout with little drama
