Unlikely for anyone in the US or UK having one, as neither country has any Bimota Dealers anymore
So will have to look to mainland Europe if this is being built and sold...Or OZ... |

... but I made very bitter experiences when Danny Bahar presented
5 new Lotus cars in Paris. All of them were moving. But no,
they were not proper cars. Just paper mash, with electrical gear
that moved them up to 5 km/h. They came in with engine noise from
speakers. 5 years on, and D. Bahar is fired, none of the cars made it in
production, and Lotus is drowning in debt.
So, please forgive me, but I am scared like hell. How can Bimota announce 19 new bikes in one show???? Okay, the Enduro/SuperMotard is up and running on its modified db5/db6 frame. That was reasonable, and I would
be tempted to get one if I would ride off road.
But the BMW engined bike?? Last time it ended in disaster, when they used a BMW engine. I would like to know what would be the deal now. Full BMW backing, including selling it in BMW stores?
And what is this crazy supercharger on the db7? And why the new ugly db5 headlight on the db7 while everyone goes LED? What about the suspension?
No upgrade? But the 11" Diavel engine!! Does that mean Ducati is not selling them the Panigale engine? Something is very scary here. |

The DB9 uses the Diavel engine and there are a few here in Australia along with the DB10. The DB10X is more dirt orientated version of the bike and saw the first production model at factory when visited.
Regarding the DB11 it's basically the same as the DB7/8 just different fairings and look as customers said they wanted bikes with full fairings and no cuts out like the DB7/8.
With regards to the DB12 tourer, saw no evidence of that bike at the factory. They were in the process of building chassis for a BMW engined bike, the BB2 was just a show piece nothing more.
Ducati won't sell them the Panigale engine either, one of the reasons they have teamed up with BMW. |

Saw a couple of the non supercharged bikes at the factory in early June, the Supercharged version was busy being tested when we were there. Once get all pictures sorted out will post up once taken at the factory. |

The Diavel engine is a retuned 1098 so I don't see what the fuss is about. The DB bikes all seem to use the same engine it would follow the frame and suspension etc is all similar too so the difference between lots of these models will be bodywork and tuning. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |
