Hi everyone

I have just bought a V Due from Italy with zero miles, as new.

The engine and injection have been modified under the supervision of Pierro Caronni.

Does anyone have any experience of running one of these from new.
I have started and run the bike for a few minutes but it seems to generate a lot of oil in the exhaust system

Thanks

Paul

Hi Racing Snake...and Welcome to the Forum....if you can post pictures it would be nice....I've done the same recently from Piero in Italy...and there are a few thhings you have to do even though set up by him....theres a few posts on here...but far easier to chat..and I can tell you what to do...they are all set up running rich from the start..adjuster on right hand side...handbboks show you how to adjust...on Pieros Vdue.it website...can call me if you wish tonight and will assist with other issues known...PM sent

They all do that...until you adjust it properly...page 64/3 of the Workshop manual has the pciture and alignment marks...Section 3 Chassis...download from Pieros V-due website....and page 65/3 has the English Translation oh how to adjust...you probably wont get it spot on as the adjuster is too long when reducing it down and fowls the Snail cam...so adjust it up slightly so that it clears the action when twisting the throttle fully....will run a lt better, far less hesitant and jerky...and cleaner at the back end
Clcik on link to get and download manuals...Chassis is what you need to start with...dont forget to check for the Missing 13mm bolt through the crankcase halves...big long bolt that would have been there if engine was in its rightful Tesi frame...but isnt there in its V-due frame...but holds the crank together at the bottom...

Hi Paul and congratulations on buying the best grin factor bike ever made !! Very Happy
Is that the injectors mounted in a reed block or direct in the cylinders still ? Does it have carbon fairing lower an d airbox or standard air box ?

As you may guess 2bims JRH and myself all have carb jolly moto bikes and yes they all run rich . Will need to trim adjuster on cable to get near to correct setting.
Best to give the vdue a PDI check as can have loose/missing bolts/trapped wires etc and then pray for sunshine .
Other than engine bolt only other common problem seems to be sprag bearing. If it fails to start and seems to be a flat battery but battery ok , its the bearing. Change sooner rather than later as swarf gets into gear box.

Oh and pictures , we love pictures !!!!!
