Nice to see you've got a battery terminal cover on at least one terminal this time......smart move........Did you have those monster K&N's on before? taking 2 carbs a piece?...might be an idea for my Db2...give them even more air to suck |

That new tank looks great.
Is the YB7 frame the same as the YB4/6/8? It looks just like my YB8, except they use the air intake to poke the radiator hose through.

Bud, the yb7 frame is much smaller, Laminator is your man for knowing how much smaller. it only has the hole for the hose on one side. really looking forward to the bodywork as it's one of the white/ blue with gold/ black pinstripe they didn't make many of . _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650 |

Nigel,
Every time you're able to amaze me!
I feel very embarrassed seeing you rebuild multiple Bimota's at the same time (or so it seems).
I struggle to keep my pace as it is and I'm only doing a straight old air cooled SB4 !
You must be a relative of Harry P. doing a full time job, restoring all those precious bikes and at the same time keeping the misses happy
You 2Bims and Waggy must have a magic potion (related to Viagra?)
Nevertheless keep smiling every time I your name pop up on the forum.
And good luck with the Manchester show (a bit far away for me right now but hopefully we will meet in the future - is no threat ).

Ah Frank
you got it spot on. the secret is to let the missus have her own house and bikes! That way you can be in the man garage when you want!! _________________ KB1x2, SB3 SB4 BB1 DB2 Vdue Evo YB11 RB1 Ducati MHR Suzi GS650

Hi Nige
Seemingly I'm a bad deal maker: wife owns the house, my wallet and has her "own" bike but still I'm struggling to keep up with you (still suspect you have a magic potion).
Only possible cause left is: riding your B's give you so much energy to do this all!
Since I haven't EVER ridden a Bimota I can't rule that one out
We'll see (in a year or so)....

Ally tank made -fitted with insulation as well now!. Rest of bike rebuilt etc. Just collected the bodywork today - looks excellent in its proper white/blue with gold/black pin-striping livery. .
Now to put it on without chipping it!!! Flippin one piece fairings are a pain.

That fairing does look the dogs danglies.
Did you do any work to the fairing to strengthen it. I'm not sure if the fairings become brittle over time.
Can you PM me where you had it done and a rough cost? _________________ Bimotas, Yamaha FZR 2TK, Honda NC30, MV Agusta F3 800, Aprilia RS250 |
