As poster on the Chat Board:
They don't have your bike listed, butt they might know the color anyway?

Hi
I don't know the colour code, but you can get the paint here:-
http://www.rsbikepaint.com/en-us/colours.php
select "Bimota" from the "select make" drop-down box, select model (only SB9SR listed) and select year of manufacture.
E-mail them if you are unsure that YB9SR and YB9SRi are the same yellow.
HTH.

Pompey,
the colour by Lechler is:
Bim 24 (Silver DB5 1000)
It matches perfectly! _________________ Bimota DB7, Bimota DB5 Mille, Ducati 916, Ducati M900, Benelli Tornado Tre |

Speaking of color, does anyone know if the red on the frame of the DB1/2 is the same as the red on the frame of the DB5R?
RSbikepaint only has colors listed for the DB series 1 and 2. _________________ Spike C.

Difficult that one Spike......The Db2 at least is powder coated as standed from the factory back in 1994...whereas evidently DB5R is painted.....not so easy toa chieve colour you want with powder coating...and as regads Db1...theres only part of the rear swinging arm that is actually visible...which i can confirm is "red" but paint on both of mine is faded over the years...so no real conclusion I'm afriad on that front... |

I sent a pic of the frame with a white board behind it to the RSPaint people and she said that it looks really close to the DB1 red. The only problem is that for 26 bucks worth of paint sticks the shipping is 29 bucks! I think i may need to look around locally a bit first! _________________ Spike C.
