The shape of the DB5 mirrors may have been chosen to accent the angular styling of the bike, butt in addition to the poor view they come to a point that further limits their functionality. I acquired a used set of mirrors from a Ducat 916. The angle of the glass was just a bad as the stockers so I cut out the profile of the glass from a piece of 3/8" thick plastic, the tapered it on the tablesaw so that the top was paper thin. I had to make 2 of these to get the angle right, so the bottom edge of the glass is 3/4" out from where it started.
I then sanded the body smooth and painted them with Plastikote Accessory paint which duplicated the finish on the stockers. I am really happy with how these worked out!
