Would anybody be interested in Frame Sliders for their bike? If I can get a head count of how many would actually want them, I can try and make it happen. Need at least 20 sets to make it viable. This would allow for puck style to be attached to the upper engine mount. Give me a count and we'll see from there. I'd ship from USA as a lump and some in the UK could handle the postage from there.

Not a good idea on the SB6, if the bike drops the slider dents the frame

I have a set of beautiful anodized aluminum sliders. I forget where I got them, but they were made specifically for the SB6R. I only use them on the track, which now means never, as I don't think I'll put her out on the track again, but I do live by "Never Say Never"......

If you would like some close up pics, let me know.

I found them.

They are made by "Woodcraft Technologies Inc."

Here are the links:

http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=50-0240

and the red pucks:

http://www.woodcraft-cfm.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi?preadd=action&key=50-1099R

The only thing I don't see is the metal sleeve.
It has a number stamped on it: 52677.
I think the metal sleeve is the Bimota specific part and the rest will fit the Suzukis. I would call them for Bimota application, as they don't seem to list it as Bimota specific, as they did many years (?) ago when I bought them.

Cost about $80.00, pretty cheap considering the anodized aluminum and all of the mill work and etching.

They are patented, so I would be careful about copying them for commercial purposes.

1. I e-mailed Oily but never heard back.
2. Does carbon take well to grinding along pavement? Testing?
3. Woodcraft as noted above are the ones I contacted for our bikes, so they are willing to make em specific if we can get 20 orders.

Doesn't anybody worry about crashing and screwing up the frame?

have a look at the shape of the bodywork especially the line from tank to fairing, try putting a straight edge along it to judge how the bike would lay if you did drop it. As I said before, if you fit that type of bung it will transmit all the force back to the one point the bung mount will bend pushing into the frame and engine mount if you're unlucky it will dig in and flip the bike.

Carbon frame protectors

I think he's been away.
The frame guards were a group buy through this forum, Oily did all the work and had the moulds made.

I sure do like those carbon covers, but they won't pass muster @ Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, USA.
Puck sliders were required for tech inspection.
