Im seriously considering the possibility of selling my Santa Monica.
This is a brand new 2006 BIMOTA SB8K Santa Monica #8 of 50 .
It is 100% original and pristine. New as can be. Never registered nor titles.
I own it clear and the buyer will get bill of sale and original MSO.
The bike is the highest spec BIMOTA model ever made and the last model BIMOTA made using a non Italian engine ( it has the brilliant Suzuki TLR 1000 cc V Twin engine )
All genuine carbon fiber and Ohlins front and rear. Only the best components were used to make this bike which is IMHO one of the most beautiful bikes ever made .
Located in Denver metro Colorado USA
contact me for info, pics or viewing
The MSRP / retail price was $45K USD
Asking $36 K USD OBO ( Or Best Offer )

One added note;
The SB8K Santa Monica was made available with either or a aluminum gas tank or carbon fiber gas tank.
The Santa Monica that I have here has the carbon fiber gas tank which is much lighter in weight, a more expensive option and IMHO looks much much better on the bike than the aluminum one.

A few other upgrades to mention include:
Moto Corse billet aluminum micro turn signals both front and rear ( $1K USD ), carbon fiber fluid reservoir covers all around to replace the plastic caps. billet aluminum and magnesium brackets and control mounts for both front brake and clutch master cylinders replacing the cast components. BIMOTA billet aluminum control levers on both clutch and front brakes replace the original cast levers ( the same levers as used on the BIMOTA DB7 ...billet aluminum gems CNC machined and with the BIMOTA double "B" logos ).
The bikes gas tank ( originally aluminum ) was replaced with one of the BIMOTA racing carbon fiber gas tanks ( both lighter weight and better looking IMHO) and a custom made carbon fiber locking race gas cap was installed.
The OEM plastic mirrors of course have been upgraded to true carbon fiber race spec mirrors ( similar in design but made of real carbon fiber....not fake carbon fiber and not the carbon fiber covers that many people put over the stock mirrors to make them look like carbon fiber mirrors )
I also have a custom made billet aluminum CNC machined clutch case cover with the BIMOTA double "B" logo machined on it to replace the stock plastic one ( that comes with the Suzuki name on it ). This is being made for the bike and may be available as another extra.
Other possible extras include; a billet aluminum front sprocket guard to replace the stock plastic one. A custom made carbon fiber case cover guard for the left side of the engine ( I also have one for the right side too ). I also have a custom made rear brake caliber bracket to allow the stock OEM Brembo Gold series rear brake caliper to be upgraded to a Brembo GP full race caliper.
A set / pair of billet Discacciati GP racing front brake calipers ( 100mm radial mount ) can also be made available , as well as a Brembo GP racing rear micro brake caliper ( plus pad sets )....these upgrades can go with the bike but for an extra charge ( they are not free additions )
A large number of fasteners and hardware pieces were changed to genuine titanium race spec items ( if I were to keep the bike, eventually every single fastener would be replaced with real titanium ).
The OEM emissions canister and fuel fume recycling system has been removed.
A number of carbon fiber accents have been put on the bike to replace some of the plastics.
The bike has been kept on a battery tender and up on wheel stands in a climate controlled environment since uncrated.
The bike has the MSO and has never been registered nor plated. The bike originally was the USA BIMOTA importers personal bike in his collection.
The bike is as brand new as they come. And if sold the new owner will get the MSO and a bill of sale.
Im sure there are a few other details Ive missed but this should get the basic idea across.
Im dropping the asking price to $25K USD OBO
thanks and Happy New year |
