|
|
I'm trying to source double bubble screens for the SB6 at the moment.
Two manufactures from the states, one from China and one from NZ have declined the offer of knocking up a small batch.
Steve's contact from Oz sounds promising
He's replied saying he's sorting something and will be back to me soon.
The problem will be pricing, the more that are ordered, the cheaper the shipping price per screen. The unknown bit will be customs duty.
Any one got any insight into importation costs etc
and is anyone else interested in buying one.
They will be at cost, I'm not interested in making anything on them |

My SB6 had a Double Bubble when I bought it, I think it is made by MRA but I can't find it on their website.
I'll have to check to be sure. |

Have you got a picture of your screen please.
I have had a not very favourable reply from MRA
and they cannot supply me with a picture of their SB6 Double Bubble |

It fits perfectly and the quality is excellent. I also bought a racing (normal) screen last year through ebay, it was made by www.500.de
Aris
edit: for some reason the pics don't appear, follow the link to see them! |

Haahhaaa it's my garage, the sign is for the others!
This screen is really comfortable for high speeds compared to the original, but the original screen is sleek and doesn't spoil the bikes contour line, if you know what I mean.
Until a while ago there were always SB6 screens on ebay, but they have dissapeared now, what's up with that I wonder... |

Just received an update from the guy who's making the screens........
Just giving you a screen up date, all I've got to is clean up the edges and
give them a good clean. The best way for you to care for you screen is to
use a mild soap like dish washing liquid, and when it's dry use MR Sheen
furniture polish, I'm not sure if you have this product in the UK, but what
it does is put a wax coating over the screen which stops bugs sticking and
it has anti static properties.
I have to go to a funeral in the morning so I'm hoping to get them away
Friday afternoon, I'll email you the moment there posted.
PS I thought I might fill you in with this Amazing SB6 screen fact-- the
screen is made from the ZZR 1100 tooling which has just the right curvature
that suit the SB6, isn't that incredible, I bet you think of this
unbelievable fact next time you're making love. |
