Best write up i've read so far. My Db8 has the 200hp upgrade in it (183hp & 104pounds torque at rear wheel, running slicks. Xtreme tech shock cant handle the power output . Has anyone upgraded their suspension ? |

Theyre using Matris. Cartridge kit in the front and a 3 way adjustable mono in the rear. Been talking to them. Good guys.
Front Marzzochi seem good, but the Extremetech is going in the bin. We have tried different Xtremetech shocks, revalving etc, but it cant control massive pump and whallow driving out of corners. (track) . Taking her to Phillip Island Tuesday , going to try an Ohlins TTX . |

Tassie, can you tell me what exactly includes this 200hp upgrade... Was that available only trough Australian importer, or is this Bimota factory stuff? Cost? _________________ Bimota DB7, Bimota DB5 Mille, Ducati 916, Ducati M900, Benelli Tornado Tre |

All supplied through the Australian importer FX Powersports. They fitted a limited edition pipe and can, only 30 made. I believe Allan at FX still has one pipe. They then remapped with a factory developed map which was intended for a WSBK entry with a DB8 , (but as you know they are gridding the BB3.)
Then had the map cleaned up on a dyno. I know max dyno figures can be taken with a grain of salt but the first run compared to the tuned run gave me 20hp gain at 6500 rpm . Engine feels more like an I4 than a twin. The TT pipe knocks off about 4kg too. Expect to pay about $6k for the kit. |
