But which ever you buy the 6 is a good bike , and on a track may get out gunned by a modern bike but in the real world country lane race track the simple roll on of throttle and the endless torque will make it hard for anyone to shake lose. |
I agree. I had a scrap with a bloke on a new gixxer 1000 a couple years ago and he was very surprized when we pulled up at the other end and i tiold him that it was a 16 year old bike _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

My sb6 is a Mk1 with mechanical clocks, but I know the electronic clocks on the YB11's are very fragile and near impossible to fix, does'nt the MK11 sb6 use the same clocks as the YB11.

Not sure what the difference is between mechanical and electronic clocks. These are the clocks on my MkII

Missing decals from the fairing and it's been cut into 3 pieces - so that could be a bit of a barganing tool. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Thats very keen eyed Evil...hadnt clicked the fairing mis-match half way down....perhaps hes only done it on the one side?
Looks a bit TOO clean for me.....polished Anteras? Going a bit bar...but I suppose it makes them a little lighter...........
And if its maintained impeccably as he claims...he could have at least changed out the Clutch fluid reservoir to a lighter shade of Black.......... |

Mmm, more investigation needed on that one i think. Polished frame, white spring on the rear shock, no b logo on the front and as EC says, no b logo's on the side fairing and cut up. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Heh, that one is way to suspicious...
And what good would it be if they'd not speak their honest opinion to not hurt my feelings, i prefer people to be direct to me. |

I'm checking the usual websites about 7 times a day.
The thread about the decal kit might be useful. If a cheap good one appears, I'd consider a respray.
Or maybe even this tuned one: 1200cc SB6
Unfortunately that one is far away and tbh I'd rather do big mods myself. (and Dumping money in time after time is more fun, see as it grows).
However this one appears to be a good Deal. I think i should call and make him a good Offer. |
