After winter break i removed all the body work, removed hoses, backflushed the radiator, removed drain bolts from base of barrells and flushed out the coolant system. New chain and spockets fitted, refit bodywork with a touch of green. See pics, bike ready to use.

Looking good....will you be riding it soon or are you not finished fettling yet?

I see you have wing mirror extensions on there now also...and a home modified side stand extension?

If you want to freshen the front end up you can fit twin light Foxeye headlights off an FZR400........and a fauz carbon rear light unit that fits from a Yamaha QR50 Aerox.... Laughing

Or a clear light lens with integrated indicators...or clear lens with leds......The light unit is exactly the same as on YB11's, some other Bims (DB4 and V-due) and as fitted to some BMW's also....backing plate, wiring etc all the same

The one thats titled "Yamaha FZR400RR Sp 3TJ Headlight Head Light Lamp" is more light the Vdue lamp as the right lamp as you look at it is a Projector beam for High Beam...and the left lamp is main beam only...and usually a small sidelight bulb between them......NOS Vdue ones do come up from time to time....you just have to check if theres sufficient space at the back of the lamp with wiring boxes/connectors etc as they are a good bit deeper for the projector beam lamp unit.......I retro fitted a Vdue one on to my DB2 that had the same single lamp as per the YB11...and had to cut a slot in the unit to allow the speedo drive cable to fit...and move a few other things around locally.......tight squeeze but refreshed the front end nicely
This is what a Vdue headlight looks like...which again is slightly different although the body, brackets and fixing and size are the same

And this is a Db4 unit

And a Vdue unit...(any excuse to post up this lady again.......If you're after a Vdue unit pop a note to Vort...as I think hes ordering some more parts again and may be able to get hold of one for you

The FZR400 unit is from the 3TJ or 4DX its not necessarily the SP version but be aware they are rather crap as actual headlights and the bulbs are expensive.

Problem with the vdue/db4 unit it the projector beam unit is quite deep and I think from memory it will not fit in the YB11 gap between the headlight unit and the clocks,if memory serves me correctly I only just managed to get the twin beam FZR unit in . Will have a look for you Roy at the w/e.
