Cool video. Why were they in that condition when you bought them?

Thanks for the video!

The bikes aren’t mine they are from a friend and costumer.

Concerning the state of the bikes well the Trofeo was a lot better than the Iniezione, but trying to be simple on the answer the Trofeo was owned before by a guy that as a lot of money but is that kind of guy that only likes the new and the things that are in fashion, I know the mechanic were the bike was serviced and is a very good mechanic for other kind of bikes not this ones, this have to be treated with care, but on the area that he has the workshop it is also the fashion workshop I know this because I supply him all the parts, as this bike wasn’t anymore the top of the range its previous owner left it on the bottom of a warehouse when the bike was bought looked a lot worse, seemed to have only one colour as it had so much dirt on top…
The Iniezione as you can see by the pictures belonged before to someone that surely didn’t even know what Bimota was!
In the photos you can see that all the reference of the brand had been taken off and in the entire bike, even from the swing arm!
And I can tell you that it was a very good surprise for me that the engine of the Iniezione even worked!

Looks like they have had a hard life, will take a big effort and lots of passion to recover, good luck.

Yes I know now I’m already in the most difficult part of the work, on this stage I’m starting to assemble the bikes and checking everything part by part, screw by screw everything in all the details...
Yes it´s true it gives a lot of hand work a lot of effort and takes a lot of time, but these things made with love and patience always end with the best results!

From the factory Bimota – Rimini or Predapio were the Vdue were assembled, none of the bikes had the injection like this.
Even with the development made after by the Vdue in Milan never a bike exited with the injection like this.

For what I managed to know about this bike was that this bike was sold initially in the beginning of 1997 new (don’t know where), then returned in the end of the year to the factory, in 1999 after being revised the bike was sold to France in 2000 a kit made by a German company was installed on the bike, at the beginning the kit maintained the 4 original injectors but were taken off from the cylinders and were installed in the throttle bodies on this one afterwards the 2 injectors placed on the left were taken off, now the bike runs with only 2 injectors.

For a little of history it was a real shame that someone ruined Bimota and gave such a bad name to this wonderful bike with a “last minute” change of injection system, because after spending so many years working and developing the Magneti Marelli system a few months before the launch for a little difference in price all that work was thrown down the drain and they had to start from scratch with another system, in which nothing of what was done before could be used…
