Can someone please explain what I am doing wrong?

One fork leg is longer than the other and there is only 1 pre-load spacer. When I build the forks up according to the MR1 service manual it seems as if there is a pre-load spacer missing from the other leg too.

I feel like I'm going bonkers over here, nothing has missed out, all the parts that came out went back in. Mad

I'd upload a pic if only I could suss out how its done?

What forks do you have, as the YB8 had a few different makes?

I have been reliably informed that they are the M1R's..........I now have the M1R destruction manual and that seems to be the case.

The problem seems to be that there really does seem to be a need for a pre-load spacer for each fork leg. Yet there is only 1 shown for the non damped side.
This may be an error which has happened sometime the past, I just don't know the bikes history.

Either way I'm sure that the forks have now been assembled correctly (they are not rocket science after all) yet the 'exact' need for a pre-load spacer for each leg seems to be required, contrary to all the diagrams I have looked at?
