Long time no speak but finally i have something to mention. I have at long...long last managed what i thought at one butt clenching moment impossible to fit a set of keihin fcr39's to my sb6. As the saying goes "dont try this at home!"
No airbox required now just a couple of Ramair foam filters over the velocity stacks.
It runs sweet as, sounds amazing and scares the shite out of me every time i hit the throttle.
Photos to follow if i can remember how to do it! |

Would be interested to know how its going with these on them....My YB11 had Keihin FCR41's flatslides fitted in a bank of 4, topped off with K&N Cone filters........a wicked combination that merely induced you to continually roll the throttle back to the max in every gear.just to listen to the high pitched engine scream.......Mind you just doing that in first gear took it to 95mph before the revs reached the redline.........Bike now passed over to Vort to try and tame..if indeed it can be.......... |

No mods then to the tank at all to fit the Keihins and air filters?
YB11 needed an inverted U shaped tank making by previous owner to accommodate increased height of carbs/filters...no messing with frame needed though |

You need a couple of legs to support the tank, it sits on the standard airbox _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

To be honest its now completely mad and the induction roar is highly addictive, first time I nailed the throttle it made me jump and I thought for a second my nads where gonna get sucked into the inlet tract! Lol. |

No mods to the tank just got a support plate made and some cups for the tank rubbers to sit in..that took some working out! Then just made up some new throttle cables to fit. |

Not had it on the dyno as yet but christ its mental, it now revs rite through to the red very freely, before it felt a little restricted. |

Host them on Photobucket and copy the "direct link". Hit the img button past the link and hit the img button again. _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Wasn't there a way to post directly onto the site without the need for a link to photo bucket...? |
