I know - what someone will pay for it. Smile

But how do you value such a bike?
Been looking (on t'web) at a monoposto version for sale @ £3750 and I am really taken by it. It would, I imagine, make a great back-roads fun machine to replace my ageing / expensive RGV250.
However, having seen an SB6 sell on t'bay recently for £3700, it kinda makes the BB1 look a tad expensive?

sounds really pricey to me.
I bought my sb6 a month or two ago, for less than that.
It's very hard to value Bimota's. we all value them differently. I always try and pay no more than I think I'll get back when I eventually sell it (and we all know that never works).
The more I think about it, the more I think they are confusing SB6 prices with supermono prices Wink

that's the problem - price comparison.
If the value of SB6's hadn't slumped so dramatically ( Smile

) then would the BB1 have looked to be good value?
The Mantra on t'bay is only doing £2250 (at present) and thats a 2002 model.
Compared to the Suzuki RG400 I was looking at (£4000) the Bimota is a steal. Wink

I suppose you really like the idea of a BB1 because it sounds like your talking yourself into it. Dealers prices seem to stay constant whilst private deals fluctuate with the real world Laughing

This time of year, bikes are generally cheaper but dealers can wait till spring.
Bottom line........
There's no price precedent for bb1's, you like it, you don't see a problem with the price, so let's have some pictures of your Christmas present when you get it Laughing

Can't help but think you;d be better off waiting for a cheap SB6 Wink

having spent the first couple hours of my night shift reading about BB1's, I have decided not to consider buying one.
Nothing to do with the horrendous vibration, poor handling and braking, tail units catching fire and a myriad of running problems Shocked

shame really - the monoposto version is such a pretty bike it's begging for a decent motor. And an extra front brake. Smile

I wonder if I could squeeze an SV650 motor in there? Wink

Dont do it Geekay! Be patient and go for the sb6 unless you really do want a single cylender race rep then go for the Roland Sands 450 Honda or yam... Laughing

I have found that this is one of lifes many dilemas,what are you willing to pay/sacrifice.

I recon I may have payed slightly over the odds for my SB6,but as it was a bike I have always wanted to own,but could never afford or spotted some other bike cheaper that I thought would appease.They have all
come and gone,but I think I may keep the SB6 for a long time.

Did not buy it,thinking that I would make a huge profit later on.My other bike is a custom built Harley,between this and the SB6,whenever I go for a ride,the first thing I notice when I come back is that I have a smile on my face. Very Happy

One of my mates payed 10,000 pounds(UK) for a Honda CBX Pro link
with 300 (yep three hundred) miles on the clock,but then he lives in a different world

when I bought my SB8R, I was actually looking to buy a 996 or 998, but one of the more "collectable" versions (SPS, Matrix or Final Edition), so I already had a price range to work to. The SB8 came in at the top of that range, but to me is a better buy than any of the Ducatis. I hope to keep it for a very long time (or until Oily offers me more than I paid for it Very Happy

)
I look at many different types of bikes. Last month I almost bought an RG400. Now I'm looking at a Ducati 888SP thats for sale locally.
