Manchester show "private entry Unloading passes" have come through this morning....normally they email a form to download and print off...but seemingly trying to limit the number....so they sent 25 of them............part filled out....just name and contact number to be filled in....bikes can be put on on Saturday morning as previous...between 6.30 and 9.30am........all other times same as previously notified....Thus Set-up day is still Friday 27th March between 9am and 8pm

They've sent 25 of them through for some reason.....and I'll be around most of the day anyhow for anyone thats turning up....just give me a call and I'll pass a pass to you at the gate when you arrive

Well....the show build up gathers momentum.........the organisers reckon advance sales of tickets are 260% up on last year for the same event...so looking like a busy time will be had.......

Reorganised the garage for easy access of Bimotas due to go to the show....and a quick pump up of tyres and last "detail" wipe over with Mr Sheen

Oh and evidently I had to give them all the chance to be started and warmed up as several of them have "winter slumbered" for the last 3 months.....Sometimes I pity my neighbours....sometimes..... Laughing

So I also took the chance to run the "pup" Ducati 900ss down for its MOT....and a staggering 270 miles done on her since last year....which is almost twice what the DB4 did in the last 12 months...

I wish it was just the bikes that were the issue for Show set-up day.......the dining room also takes a hit for all of the paraphenalia that accompanies us all down there each year....

Camping chairs for tired legs from standing up for 2 days for 9 hrs each day....camping table, 3m x 3m pop-up gazeebo......associated Bimota paraphenalia, Bimota banners, pop-up displays, coveted Bimota logo'd rugs for prized display bikes, rear pop up stands, front pop-up stands and wheel chocks for bikes with solid spindles, cleaning regalia for wiping down days of sticky finger marks applied to bikes from admiring "viewers" whom cant help themselves from touching.....cool box, flask and Bimota mugs and a few snacks and refreshments for Display stand attendees and invited guests...and a few non-invited ones....all to be packed up ready to go down to the Arena tomorrow.....lets just hope theres more than me turns up.... Shocked

Not so sure that they do...for the last couple of years we've sent them the links to the Forum show pictures...asking for some form of assistance....be it in the way of Sales Brochures to hand out.....banners...or even a spare BB3 (I understand they have a few left over... Laughing )...even tried emailing the new owner direct to his company profile account....in several languages....all to no avail I'm afraid....

Neverthemind....we all enjoy doing it despite the effort...and receive enough plaudits from the many various punters that come to the show....including one large set of prehistoric cavemen, tattooed and kitted up to the hilt with Harley Davidson badges and memorabelia....who came up and simply gave a thumbs up with the comment "Best stand in here mate...fact"

and then there was the old gent who wandered across presenting his hand to be shaken....proclaiming...."dont know who you are fellows, but thanks, never in my time did I think i'd be lucky enough to see so many Bimotas together at once..."

Considering his considerable years it may be said that he could now die a happy man............. Shocked Looking forward to seeing if he's back again next year...

Then theres the various people you meet when out and about around the area when riding...One fellow aboard a CBR600 I met in deepest Wales one Sunday morning...was admiring my DB6R...and said that he saw many Bimotas at a show in Mcr recently....and that his wife was in a wheelchair at the time being pushed around the event due to a recent "off" when wheeling her 125.....He said she was pointing at the bikes saying she'd love to sit on that one...and that one...and that one....So i told him to come back next year and she can choose to sit on whatever bike she likes as i was at and will be at the show...
