Rear brake setup
Have anyone tried to mount the rearbrake mastercylinder to the engine like Ducati do?
Will the distance from the pedal to the rearseat be ok?

All depends on what footpegs and hangers you have or intend to use...as evidently they are one and together on DB4's with the master brake mounted on also....cant see ahy it would be a problem as long as you can reach the brake lever from whatever footpegs and hangers you intend to fit
Bimota went back to the Ducati system on the DB5....reverse mounting the break lever on the engine...but then changed to the master being on the footpeg hanger with the DB6.... |

Could well be the problem when fitting 30 mm offset yokes instead of 35mm.
I'm always surprised the front wheel doesn't touch the oil cooler on the horizontal cylinder head under heavy braking.......I know it must be very close indeed.

Yep, anything that works and that you can reach with your right foot will be adequate....

Also RH hanger, that I can use to make a copy for the LH side.
Or do anyone happends to have an extra LH for sale?

And a complete biposto rear subframe in NOS condition.
Weight complete as picture 3,0kg.
Weight without batterytray, seatlocker and rubbermat 1,7kg

Now some questions.
Regarding the chain adjuster on the RH side that has two spacer.
How is it suppose to work with the rearcaliperspacer?
The threaded part that can be seen in the picture will not fit into the chainadjuster.
Regarding the LH side that have a threaded part on one side and no spacer on the other side.
Does that means that there is another spacer on the wheel?

More questions.
Frame, engine and engine bolts.
Do confirm that it is a 5mm spacer between the engine and the frame on the RH side when you mount the engine bolts.
Swingarm, engine and swingarmaxle
Do confirm the thickness of the spacers that goes between the swingarm and the engine on either side on the swingarmaxle.
I assume that the swingarm should be positioned with the same space on either side of the engine. For me that would give me that either side would have a 5,5 mm spacers

From memory the engine spacers are on the right side

Looks like the LH chain adjuster is the same as on my db4 but the RH is different. The RH should have a thread on the inside where the spacer, on which the rear brake anchor plate pivots, screws in.
I'll try to make some pictures of my rear wheel setup soon, because I'll take the rear wheel out anyway.
Also the LH footrest hanger is NOT a mirror of the RH footrest hanger. I have a slightly warped LH hanger that I'll photograph as a reference for you.
The round frame covers are only held in place by a tiny allen grub screw. But the can get lost so I wire locked mine from the inside (if they fall out they will not get lost) and also some silicone gasket will help them stick.

| Confirmed...spacers are on the disc side......and the brake caliper bracket goes over it....the threaded insert is so that the wheel can be centered properly for chain alignment....either pulling in the swingarm...or pushing it out |

Nope, the spacers go on the LH side. See spare parts list picture 17 item nr 15. Engine goes exactly in the middle of the swing arm pivot. See spare parts list picture 20 item nr 8. These are identical (listed as 2).
Mind that your chain alignment could well have to be corrected with different front sprocket offset and/or some shimming in the inside or outside of the chain wheel carrier bearings. I had to correct mine with shims on the outside, chain alignment was 1,5 mm off when it left Rimini........

Threaded part of the caliper bracket assembly goes in the RH chain adjuster and will stay there. Has to be tightened all the way. So when adjusting the chain the complete assembly will slide towards the front or to the rear. The hexagon part (the nut) will rest on the rear wheel bearing when the rear axle is tight.
So you might have to have the threads made in the RH chain slider.
Removing rear wheel means removing rear caliper only (hang it to the side). Chain wheel carrier and wheel will ease out when rear axle is removed. Brake caliper bracket will stay in place with the chain adjuster.
Warning: do not tighten the rear wheel axle with the specified torque of over 100 NM. That will quickly strip the threads in the LH chain slider. But it looks as if your LH adjuster has a steel thread insert while mine screws into the bare aluminium.....
