It's here! Looks great in real life.

I put a new battery on it and a bit of fuel, pressed the button and it fired up. It's got some running issues but it's been stood for a while. Oils, filters, and plugs are ordered. Full service and probably clean the carbs while I'm at it. Then off for MOT and registration.

Yeah, I'd use him again. He had his own proper bike ramp, the bike was well strapped down and wrapped in soft packing sheets. There was a little damage to one of the rear indicators but we are not sure whether it was like it when picked up (nothing a spot of glue won't fix) and he pointed it out, nothing to hide.

He was supposed to drop it off last monday. I got a call from him, the previous week, where he explained he'd got another drop 'up north' that had let him down and could he drop it of this week. He did say he would bring it up, as arranged, if I wanted. We agreed this week would be fine - I'm not in a rush and I know he's got to make a living. Alls good Smile

I got it insured on the frame number and booked it in for the MOT. Rode it down the road and all feels good. It failed its MOT on the front light, so rode it back and fixed the problem. Went back and she passed.

I then went to the DVLA and filled in the form, handed my money over and gave them the documents. Today the MOT, tax disc, and vehicle reg form arrived so I went and got a plate made. I rode it home from work tonight, with wet roads, and now waiting for a bit of sunshine (but forcast doesn't look good)

Well, they YB9 rides like a dream. Tends to want to lift the front in second, so not sure if the sprockets have been changed.

Update time.

YB9's starting and running with no problems. I've got a new chain to fit then it's ready for the sunshine.

YB4 is in dry dock. A bolt out of the rearwheel spindle came undone and rubbed on the inside of the swingarm

I have acquired a replacement swingarm, and this one is in the process of repair. Then she'll be back on the road.

Now we get to the YB7.....

Why did it fail on the front headlight, was it beam direction left/right hand drive or just a fialed bulb?
Eager to know as mine is due for its MOT next week

It was the beam direction, it kicked up to the right. Trip to Halfords for some deflectors, put main beam on with the bike facing a wall, then applied the deflectors. It's not the best solution as Bimota headlights aren't the best in the first place.

You can do a quick check by checking the beam against a wall. It cannot kick up on the right hand side or it is a failure.
