So I'm out on a ride yesterday and ran into a bloke that i've met quite a few times and had a few conversations about motorcycles with him. I never thought to mention previously about bimotas as most people that i talk to about bims have never heard of them. Anyway, bimotas come up in our conversation and turns out this bloke who lives in the same town as me owns a sb6r, db4 tricolour and yb11. Small world eh... _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I second Geekays comment.........would be very strange for a Bimota owner to be running his bikes and not had to find his way here at sometime or another for cures to those problems/search for elusive spare parts.........I hope he lets you go over at some time to see his bikes and perhaps take a few piccies for the Forum? Could be your new best buddy in Oz? Although whether your Mrs needs you to have a new buddy thats also mad about Bimotas is perhaps questionable..... |

I don't think he ever rides them. He bought the sb6r and the yb11 as wrecks (with little damage) and fixed them up. Although, the sb6r is now a street fighter as it has no bodywork. The db4 he bought a few years ago with very few klms on it and he rode it twice and put it away. it only has about 1700 klm on it and he's had it on the market for a long time. That's why i've never seen them out and about.
I'll catch up with him at some time for a chat. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Yeah there's quite a few Aussie members lurking on here. They only come out when you rattle the XXXX cans but
I've been to the Island quite a few times too. Was planning on going this year again to the GP but i might postpone this trip and go down in Feb for the WSBK's or maybe the Island classic. Or maybe both if they're close enough together.
Might look you up next time i'm down your way, I won't be on a Bim though _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

funny thing when we came back from Les Coupes Moto Legende 2012 in Dijon track all in Kawa triples ( we were 5, 4 H2, 1 H1 and was the 40th years anniversary of the H2) we met on the road when we came back a YB11 and a SB8 (both french) : nothing special just riders on the road I presume they came also from the same place but haven't seen them around the track |

G'day, I've had a few Bimota's, just have my SB6R at the moment, but have other bikes I ride, Mainly Ducati's, a Laverda Jota, some BSA's and the odd KTM.
My SB6R Says Hi.
