Hello"........I need someone from down under to assist me in buying something from WA.
.....a place called Malaga.......if you can help read on
I need to buy a medium snout Spintex S5 150 type Supercharger.
....no kit just the basic charger and a by pass valve for a engineering project here in the U.K.
It was the same type as supplied to VEETWO another company
from OZ who built the SuperSqualo based on the Ducati 999.
Their British suppliers only want to sell me a complete kit for
a R52 Mini and this I'd too big.
Buying from America is a nightmare now the duties and security costs.
All costs will be covered and they are more likely to talk to you than a bloke from the other side of the world with a Glaswegian drawl
......and a drawing on the back of a fag packet.
This is BIMOTA related
Many thanks _________________ On an Island in the River Thames!

Mate I'll assist if I can, but please understand I live on the east coast, so it's about 3000km away, but if I can help I will.
I mean hell, I got Scots blood so I'd be a prick if I didn't at least try.
Please note though I did think of getting a supercharger for my 1000DS Ducati, but I just got lead up blind alleys. |

Shay......excellent, if you are happy doing it for me, seeing that 3000 Klicks isn't exactly local, but hey ho
.....it would be good to have a local ish contact.
That coupled to the fact that you understand Scots humour.
Do not worry about the 1000 do experience.
...I got a plan and a sample bike to copy from.....say no more.
If it is okay with you ....I will need you to act on my behalf, ask stupid questions, order and pay for the bits I want
...then send them all to the UK.
Naturally I will arrange for any monies to be in your account
before you have to part with any monies for the parts.
..Sprintex.au only want me to deal with their UK rep and the UK rep only deals in car superchargers.
Therefore showing as much interest as a teenager with the washing up
If are okay with this I send the spec sheet model numbers and photographs to an email at your end.
I will do this once I am back at work on Tuesday after the NYear
Hope that you are okay with this.......
I have got an Australian son in law but he is from Melbourne , doesn't do bikes or engineering and is a bit of a disappointment

Hi Gavin,
I'd be happy to help a fellow Bimota nut too if needed. I'm in the same boat as Shay being on the east coast. Certainly interested to hear more about this potential project in due course

Good morning guys. The Xmas alcohol consumption has gone into standby. What would you like me to do.
With the Super Squallo, I know the guy who has 1 of the 2 built. Allan Cathcart has the other one & they certainly have their issues. One of the ocal Ducati dealers has turboed a 749 & he drags it with a fair amount of success.
Cheers |

Weed......many thanks for responding.
I have agreed initially with Shay (another man from downunder) to contact a Company in Perth on my behalf.
Should he be unable to assist I may have to call on your help as you're just round the corner to the company ...they are in Malaga.
But in the meantime Shay was the first to offer his help and I would be a fool to turn down his offer of assistance.
Especially as have been cold shouldered by the company's rep here in the UK for 3 months.
Weed...stand by and thanks for responding....no point in getting 3 dogs chasing the same bone....
not that I'm calling you or Shay a dog...but you get my drift.

Guys, I'd be more than happy, and would not be at all insulted if you got a guy from WA on the case, I'd like to be kept in the loop though (if that is ok) as a professional engineer this stuff is of great interest to me, I did consider supercharging my 1000DS but my inquiries got me nowhere.
Go with the guy from Malaga, he already knows the people so you already have a foot in the door.

Shay............ok I will now request contact details from the man from Malaga.
DJT77........please forward your contact details (email via a PM) in order that I can send you images and details of the parts required.
Be prepared to ask stupid questions (from me) and part of the arrangement may involve you purchasing parts on my behalf, in order that they don't upset their UK reseller.
Naturally any monies needed will be sent to you PRIOR to any purchase taking place. To all intents and purposes you may well have to act as the buyer.
If you are OK with this then please let's proceed.....
I will require a SPRINTEX TYPE S5 150 medium snout Supercharger along with some by-pass valves assemblies...I will send images to assist in the order...just the bare components.
...not a kit as I plan to make my own pipework and pulley assembly no warranty or after sales assistance required.
I plan to adopt the blind man looking for a coat-hook on a wall approach...it has never failed so far and I am about a dozen or so specials in!
I have procured from Italy a DB7 mule frame and have a Ducati diavel engine just waiting to be touched by the fat finger of fate.
And I am privileged to be in contact with Davide Commandini...the original DB11 VLX electronics engineer and worked on the VLX from 2008..
....he has taken pity on me and agreed to help, after much badgering from me.
What else can go wrong, other than the fact that the Ducati engine runs backwards and the Supercharger doesn't......great.
It'll be like going to a party in Glasgow...I have got the drink.... I just got to get the mixers for the women!
Please assist ......DJT77?
regards
