I saw here some of you changed the DB5's mirrors, two questions:
- were did you buy them? Or which is manufacturer
- Did you solve the rear vision problem with them?

Regards

I bought and fitted these...multi adjustable on legs, arms...forwards, backwards, up, down and mirror on a ball socket also...cheap...from china...made of alloy.....need to have longer bolts to fit onto DB5 fairing....but been on for 4 years now and no complaints...they even fold up for parking in garage...on ferries etc...Takes about 2 weeks to arrive in the post

I tried those and I hate the way they look, so I modified the stock ones so that the would worl acceptably. The last one that I did, I used a heat gun to remove the lens then disassembled the insides. I made a shim out of sheet brass to lift the bottom of the mechanism and now I can see behind me with just a little shifting of an arm.

Hi Spidermaan, I have these on my DB5R. The rear view is okay when I take my elbows a bit to the side.

Wow, Vince, those look great! They fit the design of the bike very well! I may just have to acquire a set...and the price looks pretty reasonable as well!

Thats the best looking option I have seen to date for the DB5R.Just a few questions.
I guess they are the Aircut sport model ? Did you have to use any of the extra fitting kits ?
Is the ball joint for adjustment only or will the mirror head rotate vertical for storing bike ?

Vince,

These mirrors look great and would be far more useful than the standard ones. I tried to order a set but the manufacturer's site only has a facility for addresses in Italy, Russia and the US. How did you get them to ship to the Netherlands? Or did you buy them from a local shop?

[Dutch] Wil graag een set van deze spiegels bestellen maar nog geen idee hoe ze hier naar Australie te krijgen [/Dutch]

Haha...I see you're fed up with the mirrors also already...definitely form over function

I went for these from Chinky China...arrived quickly and at the price you just cant grumble....and after 2 years+ they are still in one piece...they have long arms on them to clear your body so you can actually see behind you...you need to change 2 bolts for longer ones than they supply but thats it....arms can be adjusted out, up, down, back and forward and locked with the bolt...or left looser to enable easy folding for storage...and even the mirror is on a ball end for more adjustment.....

The standard mirrors give me a great view of the tarmac beside the rear wheel Smile . I like the design of the Italian ones but if I can't get them shipped to Oz I might go for the Ebay ones instead.

You can get Barend mirrors to fit also....I used those prior to the more permanent fix I opted for...as you say....you can see stuff behind you...just nothing thats worhwhile...pedestrians on the opposite side of the footway was the best I could manage....but cars behind me or alongside...nothing....

Contacted Orion mirrors and they pointed me to some dodgy world net site that wanted a premium to send out of Italy.
Found dealer in Italy that says will post to Europe. I am in the process of getting a quote for postage for 2 sets of mirrors to UK , but if anyone else fancy a set let me know as could ask for more and of course willing to post on outside of Europe..

I recently found a perfect set on FAR mirrors that have lenses the same shape as the originals but with different arms tha look great and with a very small bit of heat gun give a great rear view! I am loving them on my bike!when I get a bit of time I will post a pic.
