Nice day for a ride on a winters day... A chilly 25 deg C. My son picked up his first bike the other day... Ninja 300. Awesome little bike! I've been waiting a long time to be able to ride with my son

Steve, as much as it hurts to say... he's actually taller than me .
He's only just got his learners permit a few weeks ago. We have a LAMS system in Aus for learners, 'learner approved motorcycle scheme'. It actually makes sense as it categorises bikes by power to weight ratio. A learner can ride a bike up to 650cc depending on the power.
The old rule was a limit of 250cc but kids were killing themselves on 2 stroke 250 rocket ships. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Thanks Stu. Yep, both performed floorlessly
We've had a few rides together now and it's been great. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Brian, half way around the world my son and I are having the same experience. What a coincidence I took a second picture when we stopped near the water.

Nice pics Jb. Looked like a nice day too. I wish I'd had someone experienced to ride with when I was learning. I was very fortunate to get through my early motorcycling years without too many dramas.
I know how I was when I was his age, so even if he learns one small thing from some of my mistakes its a win _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |
