That is my long ongoing project DB2.
Alloy tank, fuel injection, NCR Ohlins forks, MH swingarm, Dymag carbon wheels, and a super modded 1034 motor.
Here are some links

Front axle looks very similar to my 3D. The wheels have me interested, what is your overall idea on a paint scheme

I wanted to keep the original paint scheme, but we were unable to touch up the pearl white. So if I had to strip everything, I was going to come up with something original.

So my plan is like an Alitalia Lancia Stratos, but without the logos.
Something like this.

That's going to be fantastic. I always loved the Alitalia sponsored Lancias.

After installing the motor it is very apparent that the 800 is the largest motor that will fit the 400 chassis.

There is no way even a 900 will fit. The head height would be too tall.

I did what GeeKay suggested and mounted the swingarm to the cases and did not run the pivot through the plates. Works perfect.

And the 800 engine allowed me to use Ducati front sprockets and the chain alignment is perfect.

One issue I will have to resolve. The steering rod barely clears the front Ohlins spring, but rubs on the injection intake manifold.

So I will have to modify the injection system.

Always liked the Alitalia colours...and the Lancia Martini colours on the Deltas also...but wasnt so sure what or how this could transfer to a Tesi.....has to be said its looking good....and evidently no expense spared so far...is that a brand new Engine? what did an 800cc motor come from? Only know of the Scrambler...oh ang on.....they did a 796 motard and a monster didnt they........Whats the plans for the bodywork colour scheme? Would be nice but I imagine V expensive to get a clear perspex set of panels made up as that green frames going to dissappear otherwise....

Well done speedmade it looks nothing like the bike I saw in New Zealand which looked like a survivor of the Japanese sunami Crying or Very sad
It's a credit to your vision and skill set that your on the way to a unique and special bike Cool
Your not going to bump into another one. I hope you don't mind explaining about it every time you stop for gas.
Nice job.

with this problem

maybe ?

Can you make a shorter rod and a different link arm with a bend to move forward away from the shock / manafold ?

Perhaps taller but thinner would be the way.....not the best rod and linkage to be playing with as this is the only part that links the front wheel to the bars...so set-up is critical...margins of a millimetre mentioned in Bimotas set-up for this rod....

Hi, thanks for sharing information and photos of your project. I do have a Japanese Tesi 1D as well. Mine has the VIN T2D 00049. Does yours also show T2D as vehicle type?

Best Regards from Germany

Peter
