Does anyone know where i can obtain a cover for my clocks on the YB11?
It`s the type with both rev counter and speedo in a single unit.
I have recently bought the YB11 as a project(totally stripped) managing to get the bike back together but am having a bit of a job with the clocks cover. I`ve managed to source 2 new stepper motors for both clocks and fitted a new LCD screen. Still need to source 2 new needles and the cover. Or does anyone know of a unit I could possibly borrow so I can have it 3D scanned and make one on a 3D printer.
Any help gratefully received.
Thanks for reading this post.
Martin

Hi, i've found a set on the Japanese auction site. onejp.com lots of YB11 bits. I can bid for you if required, but be aware of shipping and import costs. 3 days left on the auction for the clock set.

Any idea how much they will cost, i realize the auction price does not include shipping etc, but a rough idea would be good to know.

http://one-jp.com/lot/o108826827

These are the clocks. Currently £32, with no bids. I'm bidding on some items so can share shipping, etc

I'm at Anglesey race track but back later when the race meeting is over. I'm using my phone at present, but will switch pc on when i'm home.

Hi, sorry for the delay.

I took the gamble and purchased them on the buy it now. I've got a spare exhaust for my YB7 to be shipped so thought they could be sent together. If you didn't want them I was going stick them on ebay, or store them. I didn't want to miss them as you mentioned they were the ones. Smile

I got them for the advertised price, then there is a commission for onejp and shipping. Obviously we can split/sort shipping, etc.

I'll let you know the total price when I know.

Cheers,
Andy

Martin, I have done a bit of work on these clocks, including fitting new stepper motors. Believe me, they are not worth the trouble. They are junk. Your money would be far better spent on after-market clocks. Koso work well.

Hi, Laminator, thanks for buying the clocks, I was afraid i might miss them. Just let me know how much the total is.

Johnny, Thanks for the tip regarding the original clocks, if I can`t get any joy with them where do I find the clocks you were referring too.
Thanks.
Martin

I went bowling with my grandad the other day. He's a bit deaf and his eyesight is failing. He sent the jack down and then his first ball. He couldn't quite see where his bowl ended up, fortunately a lad was walking past the far side. Grandad shouted "where's my bowl?", the lad looked and said 'your a foot in front'. Grandad turned to me and said 'what did he just call me?'

Keep 'em coming boys - we like a bit of levity!

Digital Speedos are the people for Koso clocks. One of the RX2 variants is your best bet.
