hi, anyone knows which Zard cans are lighter: Penta Carbon or oval titaniums?
According to Zard's online shop the Pentas weigh 2.9 kg (against 6.1 kg stock). I couldn't find the titaniums there.
And would the DB6 Pentas fit the DB5? Seems as if they are just turned upside down.

Thanks much, Frank

I don't have any fact to verify this but I'd say the titanium would be lighter

Hi Bivox....I have the Zard titanium oval cans and and can vouch they are very light indeed....for the Db5 though they do have a longish lead in stainless steel pipe....specifically bent for LHS and RHS......DB6 cans have a very short lead in pipe and then a link pipe to the rest of the system....thus end cans are not interchangeable between DB5 and DB6 models

I have the titanium ovals and the carbon one's , I can probably get you a weight of the titanium ones this weekend as they are sat in a box in the garage.

On a sound front, and this may be dependent on the bike, I can say the carbon ones have a much deeper bark, and to me sound much nicer .
Looks wise its up to you , but again for me the carbon win hands down !!!!

sound is an important factor, I completely agree Wink

I'd appreciate if you could weigh the titaniums. Thanks much.

Alas, I have nothing to compare, however I do love the sound of my titanium Zards! And I am astounded by how cool they run!
I am a accustomed to the lack of heat generated by carbon cans, but the same quality shown by the ti jobbies too me totally off guard!

Sorry for delay, just weighed both cans together and they seem to be about 700-750g. Not the most accurate scales I was using , but gives you an idea.
Probably a fraction of the weigh of the original.
