I'm a bit disappointed by this, the scrambler engine is a budget thing that's more suited to a city bike.
Pity they can't use a Triumph 675 engine _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Hhmmmmm....Yeh....its even has a cable operated clutch on the Scrambler...although given the faliure rate of Ducati clutch slaves its not a bad thing....and is quite light to operate...Not ridden a scrambler but supposed to be a real hoot, even if down on power...but in a tesi chassis??? Scramblers convert to around 6K gbp in Europe....8-10K over here...and cant see a new tesi being below 20K???? |

Hyper naked db9-11.....'could' this be the VLX muscle bike...maybe the idea did not end up in the bin!
It is all conjection..... but here is part of the email reply I recieved from the factory, after a proposed meeting in September 15....I kept it quiet out of respect to the sender, but now as the press are quoting new models...I seems safe to print it....
(it also mentions the Bimota prototype collecter in reference...the guy who Vort mentioned)
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Dear Sir,
we continual the development of VLX bike and we will present on short future an updated bike with that technology for sales.
For that reason we sold our prototype to one collector of Bimota motorcycles close to Bimota but we don’t like to share the technology now.
Please wait and starting from December you can buy a real kit to assembly on one of our motorcycle
Best regards
Pierluigi Marconi

Exciting times......having studied the twin screw helix supercaharger as an engineering design project ...this is fantastic news to all those engineers out there. ...60 'real' horse power at the back wheel for 32 lbs in weight and a torque curve flatter than a Nuns bossom.....bring it on...please!
More excited than a puppy at Xmas
regards

The supercharger information is still a bit vague on what models it can be used with, if its only DB9 and DB11 models, well they have hardly been big sellers have they, I've heard there isn't many more than 20 or so of the DB11 models produced, no idea on DB9 production figures. |

When I saw the bike in May time I was told the kit would fit all 4 valve motors, so db7 onwards, but then there aint many of any model out there really .
The prototype was a very neat job , production quality , and had datalog and GPS for track use.
Took a load of pictures of it but can't find them on any of my drives. |

Please look at the Bimota facebook page...there is a press release about the new muscle -hyper bike.....The Impeto
Bimota Impeto
The new version of the Bimota Hyper-Naked is improved both technically and aesthetically.
The latest Diavel engine with twin spark guarantees that this new version of the Bimota chassis has the highest performance level available.
And now gets improved with all of the latest electronic controls:
- ride by wire (motorized throttle body)
- traction control
- ABS
The “Bimota Impeto” can be enhanced, beyond its already significant standard configuration, with components from the “Bimota Experience” accessory list:
- Composite frame, light alloy plates combined with structural carbon tubes
- Composite swingarm, light alloy plates combined with structural carbon tubes
- Advanced Dashboard with a 3.5” TFT color display housed in a light alloy billet case – with integrated data recording, GPS and automatic racetrack identification.
And most importantly – for racing or track use only – the new Bimota SuperCharger kit!
Bimota SuperCharger
Bimota has already developed and tested, and is now ready to announce, a volumetric compressor twin booster, the SuperCharger kit available on the Bimota price list.
This kit, made for Bimota motorcycles using the Ducati liquid-cooled engines, will increase power and especially torque in the range of 15%-20%, and smooth out both power and torque delivery.
This innovative kit is based on a geared drive train within the clutch cover to achieve the high rpm necessary to drive the blower. This drive system combined with the compressor located in the “L” of the engine results in a beautiful, well-integrated solution that is also ideal for the overall weight balance of the motorcycle – a design consideration that is a Bimota trademark.
The kit is complemented by an electronic engine management system that can be accessed through the special software built into the Data-Logger.
When the Bimota SuperCharger is installed on the new Bimota Impeto, the bike becomes a true “tire-burner!!” _________________ On an Island in the River Thames!
