Hi, I'll get a photo over the weekend to see what's fitted to mine. _________________ Bimotas, Yamaha FZR 2TK, Honda NC30, MV Agusta F3 800, Aprilia RS250 |

That bracket is quite clear on the Exploded spare parts diagram for the YB8e....theres supposed to be a rubber and a bush...part Nos 16 and 17 on here....be patient...the pages take a while to load up...when its loaded click on the picture and it will grow bigger and in more detail....the bolts and parts you should have are the same as holds the front nose part of the fairing underneath the headlights at the front...same part nos...

and then a bolt that goes through them to the plate that has a threaded captive nut on it
as on here part Nos 23 and 22 that bolt through the bush and rubber into the triangular plate part No 9 as on here

Thats the same part as on my YB8EI.
The cleaner at work threw mine out so had to make a copy out of stainless steel.
Simple triangular bracket with 1 nut welded for the fairing screw and a hole on the side for fitment to the steel bracket Bimota fitted that also has the stand mounted to it.
The fairing bush and spacer are able to be found or made similar but the originals would be excellent - if they were available.
Yours looks like you need to sandblast and paint/powder coat or make a new one. _________________ YB8EI |

Don't you worry the flaky paint will be sorted in good time, just bigger things to sort first ,

Okay Dad, I'll hold the hammer, but don't implicate me in this mock idiocy? |

Hi, did the diagram above sort your issue or would you like some photos still? _________________ Bimotas, Yamaha FZR 2TK, Honda NC30, MV Agusta F3 800, Aprilia RS250 |

I'm still a bit confused , I get that it just bolts on to bracket but what joins ether half of the fairing together at the split ?? |

Presumably the lower fairing under the belly pan has a split on it....and the two "halves" so to speak overlap each other...thus the bolt pushes through holes on both halves....and its held tight with the clamping action of the bolt on the bracket...and up front at the lower there should be a dzus fitting that goes through both halves again to clamp them together........Its such a sound "clamping" that on the DB2 for instance which shares the same one piece clamshell type fairing.....theres 3 dzus fasteners underneath...but none go to an engine mount or other....they just clamp together and its rigid.....benefit of fibreglass moulding over flimsy plastic shells...... |
