Any tips on the removal of the rear fairing on an sb6r?
I've removed all the bolts, 4 under the seat and 3 each side of the frame spars, the manual says lift and pull.
Tried that, doesnt want to budge and I dont want to over stress the carbon.
Thoughts? |

The exhaust cans also hold it in place, I found it easier to take them off from the link pipe at the same time....... |

You also need to disconnect the electrical connector for the rear lights, which is behind the fairing on the left side just above the footpeg carrier. You definitely want to be taking the fairing off with the end cans still attached to it. A bit of tape around the sharp bit of the carbon at the very front of the fairing will prevent it from scratching the frame/tank when you're getting it off and putting it back on. If you're careful, you can avoid scratching the rear hugger, but taking it off will preserve it. _________________ What, Jonny's gone! |
