Be interesting to see what it goes for. They are a greatly underrated model and the one that is commonly overlooked . |

Certainly an "optimistic" valuation at 10-12,000..........just not so sure on the 1km listing.....discs seem to have travelled further than that...and condition doesnt look pristine....easy enough to buy a zero kilometre speedo and fit..... |

It'll need a few quid spending it for recommissioning. Those Ducati engines dont like being left unused. |

All off them have high estimates. Let's hope the reserves are more realistic. _________________ Dreaming of a Tesi in the garage. |

eh, hope the values are close. I won't feel so bad for spending almost that much on my 1mi db4 (in USD) At least mine has the course bits on it _________________ 02 aprilia RSVR Mille, 02 aprilia SL1000 Falco

$8-10k is not bad for one with corse bits, think they were about a $3-4k option BUT well worth it !!!!
I see the SB6 and the YB9 are both £6-8K ,

YB9 has NEW spark plugs in it . That must be worth the 2k premium !!!!!
Disappointing to see the SB6 only valued at 6-8k I thought. But then looking at the bars its been down a few times. |

Yes the SB6 has no mirrors or holes drilled for them. it could be a replaced fairing.
3 piece fairing on the YB9 _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

Really quite "odd" to see what are clearly 3 No. recent imports to the UK going onto the Auction block.....all with UK MOT....but not road registered...still with Belguim or Italian Reg documents and not UK V5's...Clearly someone thinks theres profit to be had in simply importing cheaply from Europe and selling on at auction...although being sold with Valid UK MOT's...clearly none of them have been used in the UK as they have no UK registration as yet.........What with Auctioneers fees they would have to meet their estimates to make a profit |

God knows , but suppose at auction it is sold as seen , so very little chance to check over and probably none to hear running , so maybe they run like dogs, if at all ????
And as been pointed out you ain't going to start a Duc engine after 16yrs without a bit of work. |

It would definitely seem that the Seller(s) are taking advantage by sending to auction...and its not like a whole collection coming from a deceased estate.....As you say....little chance to check over, dead batteries and probably no fuel....any punter would be taking a chance...and taking a chance generally is matched by low offers....you cant even Hpi check the history as no reg plate and no ability to check on imported vehicles...at least with private sales you get to ask questions, check history, mileage, Hpi...and possibly even get to see if they run, ask for bodywork to be taken off etc.....With due consideration....the guide prices are Very healthy |

Saying all that I still think the SB6 is a great in the world of modern classics ander vastly under rated / valued , but then I would as it was my first Bimota love. |

Hi, it is a small world, I know this YB9 because it came for me in Italy. I spend my time between Oxford and Italy. I sold it to a customer in November, and supplied it to him with an MOT and all the necessary paperwork to register and get a V5, which he obviously did not do. For anyone who buys a bike from me I offer to carry out this complete service.
I still have the original 2 piece bodywork from the bike, and the exhaust, like new! My advice to anyone looking at it is to buy it. It was spotless clean, meticulously looked after by a friend of mine (2nd owner) he is an engineer, owns a bike parts shop, has 6 bikes and races a DB7. It had a full service and had covered 17000 miles in Nov. If anyone is looking for any particular bike, get in touch, I will see what I can do. Next week I will have a yellow YB9, 6000ml and a YB10, New, Zero miles. If anyone wants to know anything about the McCoys YB9, just ask. Spark plugs are new, my mate put them in ! _________________ 1999 Bimota YB9SR, 1977 Triumph Bonneville T140, 1960 Matchless 250, 1960's Motobi 125 Corse. |
