Hi everyone, I take it no-one is getting out at the moment ( me included.) thought I would start work on my injection bike, it starts runs for a few seconds then cuts out. Is anyone experienced enough to look at it in the uk? Or is it best taking her to Mr VDue ( Piero )

Battery voltage is good, fuel is good, plugs look new, runs fine ( when running)
When it stops, just turn ignition right off, ecu resets, starts again

Hi Matty, it does sound oike the blue and black boxes. Had lots of chats with piero about this topic and the outcome was that low numbered boxes were not that good and you need to try big numbered boxes of which Piero had loads spare. I had a load but gave them to my vdue fixing hero based down in Nottingham.

As Trev/Boffer already said, not all vdues are equal and injections can be all over the place.

Where did your bike come from ?
Is it 100% original sat in a collection/never run injection
Played with one
A Piero reworked one ?

To be honest Matty, it could be lots of things and its probably a mix of a few things. Mine had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be the fuel filter crumbled to sand after 15 years in storage and clogged up the fuel tank hence it would start but then starved of fuel and stopped just as quick. It could be electrical and you will know if it is because the clocks will go haywire if you have leccy problems although I did fix this on mine. Could also be the blue and black boxes and your blue one looks like a first run of boxes that were faulty.

Hello vort, ya I'm with you, these special an individual things. What works for one may not work for another but we have to try, ha.
It's done a small mileage but not in my hands. It had ti pipes on, which I've not seen on an injection before. The engine has been upgraded by Piero.

When you say Titanium pipes, is that in the usual inj config ? or JM straight through config ?
Have only seen ti pipes in pictures and struggling to remember where, think it was a bike in the states.

Bet they must look good. Shocked
Only ever run inj on standard pipes , so not sure if they have a contribution to issue.

The black box numbers need to be over 500
The blue box only records data

Check the KISS things first
and get a new black box
