Yes they were Kwaks. They had a pursuit gear that limited the speed because they didn't corner _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

LAPD (Los Angeles police Deparment) used to have their traffic cops on Moto Guzzi. LA Sheriffs used HD extensively. Now both departments are big Beemer fans. You are correct about the Highway Patrol being on Kawis. _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

During the delivery of my SB8R, left lower fairing was cracked. So, while the fairing is being repaired (should have it in a day or so) the SB8R is quietly sitting in the garage and... weeping oil. In about 2 weeks it dripped a very small puddle roughly an inch across. It is dripping from somewhere at the cooler in front. Not sure what it could be - seller went through the bike and replaced what he thought was leaking. Guessing need to tear down the fairings at the front.... _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Maybe a dodgy crush washer on one of the cooler banjo bolts (assuming it has banjo bolts?) _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I also had an aluminium cooler that was cracked at the thread where the banjo bolt screwed in. The banjo bolt must have been over tightened at some stage. It was very hard to identify where the leak was coming from _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

I figure I'll start disassembly of the front fairings to track the source. In case the cooler is cracked, how expensive are these and are they still available? _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Think the SB8R oil and water rads are standard TL ones, but not 100% sure.
I know the later 8K one's are different. |

If you cant see where it's coming from clean the area and put some toilet paper on it (1 ply is enough). You should see where the leak is _________________ Don't read everything you believe |

I don't read German and have yet to familiarize myself with the SB8 but these appear to be coolant radiators rather than oil. _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10

Maybe worth to buy it and keep it on the shelf for that "just in case" moment. That approach always worked when I had my Alfas... _________________ 1991 Bimota YB10
