Is anybody interested in a garage mat like the above?

(I just mocked up on PowerPoint so clearly images etc would need to be cleaned up and checked to see OK full size) Azzuri blue would be required so if they can only do it a 'stock blue then bets are off!....details not yet discussed with potential supplier)

I'm just floating the idea here to see what interest exists as there is a small business north of Cardiff that I stumbled across on another web search who look like they could do these.

Quick check and telecon suggested a 1.4mm nitrile rubber backing (80cm X 180cm) bonded to Tufted nylon surface printed with the design would be
about £70.ea for 10 off , which is cheaper than I've seen 'custom' designs before. A standard mat seems to sell for about £40-50 on Ebay although its likely to be for a Jap brand or plastered in MX logos! Obviously P&P extra but I could bulk collect and distribute from here.

Thoughts?? either post here or PM me.

I had 5 made up a few years ago. You would have seen Lammie's one at the Manchester show .

From memory they were quite a bit more than £70 but are also slightly bigger 2x1m which is just about the right size for a bike to sit on. Can't remember the grade now but they were custom design corporate entrance door type of stuff.

Thread is here

Supplier can do 2m X 1m for £92 incl VAT. (Like I said its a smallish company and in 'The Valleys' and the owner likes MX as well as doing some corporate designs, which probably explains why these are quite a bit cheaper than previously)

Anybody interested In taking this further or have any comments on the design. Vort's design had the benefit of being darker (hides dirt) but cost and artwork set up isn't any cheaper.

What do forum members think?

If required I can ask the supplier again. Obviously the original price had the art work design to pay for , which would not be the case this time, and maybe they do different mat qualities as well , can't really remember , but willing to email if a group buy is on the cards.

OK, I will ask for a quote and see if any variation depending on mat quality etc . The place I used seems to do about 4 different types of printed mats . Can't remember if that was the case when I got them 3yrs ago.

I have spoken to the people that made the last lot of mats , and 2bims will be glad to know that Claire still works there ( he was quite taken with her when he collected mats the day before Manchester show 2013 Razz ) .
Moving on.
Copy of her mail/quote, and mat spec.

Our mats are fully machine washable up to 60 degrees and can be cleaned with everyday carpet cleaners. The mats are designed for very high foot fall and can hold 3 - 4 litres of water every square meter.

I have attached a datasheet with some information about our MC Print Logo Matting products which outlines their features and benefits including the 2 year guarantee. These mats will be tailored to go onto a smooth hard floor or a textured/carpeted surface or can be made thicker to accommodate mat wells. These mats are fully machine washable up to 60 degrees and are also antimicrobial.

The nitrile rubber backing of the mat ensures that the mat can be rolled up and laid down repeatedly and will always keep its shape and never slide around the floor. Here are the prices based on the information you gave me, ex vat:

• 200cm x 100cm = £160.00 per mat + vat based on 5 off
• Artwork set up FOC as re order
• Delivery / Collection
• Turnaround is 2-3 weeks from artwork approval and payment

Not cheap but they are high quality corporate type stuff and have a 10yr guarantee on colour and 2 on manufacture.
A 1.5mx.85m is about £110 +vat

Price will vary with quantity ordered but not by a huge amount . Postage can be to anywhere , as I will collect and then send on or if anyone is on the M6 corridor between Manchester and Coventry can meet and collect.
