The time has come to let someone else have the pleasure of owning my YB6.

I am a great believer that we are just custodians of these fantastic machines.

She was first registered in the UK in 2001 but bought from BAT’s in 1999. So she is an originally a “Japanese” bike.
I am the third UK owner and bought her in May 2012.

When I purchased her I did have a full ground up service done which cost over £1000, this included the following:-

1. Strip and rebuild front forks with new seals and fluid.
2. Replaced front wheel bearings.
3. Replaced head stock bearings.
4. Replaced rear wheel bearings.
5. Replaced sprocket carrier bearings.
6. Removed rear swing arm, bearings checked.
7. Ignition switch re wired due to fault.
8. Plugs replaced.
9. Air filter checked and OK.
10. Carburettor’s and fuel system cleaned.
11. Replaced all brake fluid and re bled.
12. Replaced clutch fluid and re bled.
13. New brake pads (Carbone Lorraine) fitted.
14. New stronger clutch springs fitted to stop clutch slip.
15. Later Clutch cover installed, so as topping up of oil is easier.

She is currently on SORN
She will be serviced and have a full 12 Month MOT.

Please PM me for pictures etc.

PS: My YB4 is also available.

You're welcome.

There's so few Bims in Australia to choose from. There was a yb4 for sale in Perth WA a couple months ago for reasonable money that somebody must have snapped up. That was the first yb4 I've seen in Australia.

Good luck with the sale

Brian,
Yes we are spoilt in the UK, by that I mean more Bimota's per head than many countries. But I still feel they are very underrated by the majority of riders due to bad press.
Therefore the monies they command against other collectable bikes is less.
For example RC30's are about £25000 here but I know the YB4 is a much better bike all round.
I personally feel (as I would) the price I am asking for my YB6 is reasonable for the bike, but I have been trying to downsize my collection for a while but to no avail.
I think my next move will to be looking at museums, to see if they would like a Bimota corner?
Perhaps the latest wooble from the factory, may make people look?
Because once it has truly gone......
Remember the current owners will have nothing to do with pre 2003 bikes anyway.
