My V Due has been delivered today!

It looks better in the flesh than it did in the photos from Piero.

Took all the protective wrapping off it, turned on the oil, put some fuel in it, ignition on, and it fired up straight away. All sounds as it should and a Great noise with the JL pipes.

Got a nice paddock Stand, tool kit, fobs, literature, and spare set of decals from Piero.

Parked up for the night, but now need to do the Nova and registering process and hopefully get the registration in the next 3/4 weeks and then it can be ridden.

Will post a few pictures soon.

Ade

Hi and thanks for the reply.

Yes your right they are JM Pipes..

He sent lots of literature as well as fobs.

Bike has been put on the Nova today so will await their reply and then get it UK registered.

Had an interesting experience over the weekend!

Filled the fuel tank up 4 days a go, went to start it over the weekend and when I did I had about a pint of petrol exit from one of the rear exhausts!

I note there are no fuel taps on these bikes, (that I can find)

Has anyone else fitted one to stop this problem?

Many Thanks

Ade

Ah yes, few things to remember with a vdue.

Always turn oil and fuel off when left, most have no fuel tap so just pop the quick release connectors under the tank ( don't disconnect fuel QR completely as you will damage o-ring , just press release so they separate slightly and stop flow).

Have you put the extra bolt in crank halves where the tesi frame would bolt through ? (Don't know if it actually does anything but was recommended to me )

Known a few people have fuel issues on the bike when delivered. Sticking floats and blocked jets are common. (Me included)

Check throttle sync and throttle cable routing/seating and operation. First time I gave mine full warp speed , one cylinder dropped afterwards 50 miles from home. Turned out the throttle cable was badly routed and not entering carb straight and hence outer not seated in adjuster on top of carb. Me pulling it tight had moved it about 8mm, putting carb sync way out .

Give the bike a good PDI , also know vdues to come without fork pinch bolts etc .

I always switch the oil off, but have never disconnected the fuel pipes.....
The other bike that Vort and I imported, had a fuel tap, but I didn't like the look of it. You must have had a float sticking......

If it does have a fuel tap, where will it be situated as I cannot see it at a quick glance?

Many Thanks
