Hi guys, don't wish to sound like a goddam moron but how do you upload an image of your beloved beast to this site. I tried the "upload image" option but all it does is tell me that something does not exist.

Why is it getting all existential on me? Question [/img]

Most people seem to struggle initially to post photos and I am sure others will jump in with their method. The easiest way I have found (with help from others admittedly!) is to create a Photobucket account and load your photos from there, just use the IMG option from the 'Share this photo' option, should display 'copied' then you can 'paste' in your forum post. Good luck. Smile

Create a photo account somewhere. Get the URL address of the picture. Hit the img button above message create window, paste URL and then hit img* button.
You will get something like this in the message text.

Hello".......I take the photo and do two things.

Firstly I put it under my pillow and then secondly send by email my image to Brian from oz.

Not sure which action is the one which works but ....when done together the image is normally on the forum within 12 hours or so.
...I hope this helps

Regards
Gavin

Hi Shay - yes, I had exactly the same problem and felt like a dick too.

In the end, I set up a Photobucket account, but it certainly is clunky and a bit antiquated in the way it handles files. Here's a forum link with handy tips:

http://www.bimotaforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?t=3985&highlight=photobucket

In the interim, Mr 2Bims magically uploaded some nice hires images (that you've seen).

Can't wait to see your DB1 - and some pics of the old one if you have them?

On another note, I tried to get through the Swiss guys who manage the Bimota registry - it's really out of date, so wanted to add mine and a few others. Sadly no reply from them. A registry is only as good as the number of owners who participate unfortunately.

Good luck!
Hi Shay - yes, I had exactly the same problem and felt like a dick too.

Well no, I don't feel like a dick

But perhaps I can get some constructive advice from my next step in bringing this bike back to standard.

At the moment it is fitted with conventional fuel taps, the vacuum taps are MIA. Thanks to this page I have sourced and will soon be setting it back to original.

BUT...would there not be a problem with loss of vacuum at the higher end of the range, or am I being needlessly worried? If that indeed was a problem, what would be the remedy?

well, that was at least an attempt, but nonetheless, it would still be good to know how to actually place an image in the message http://s347.photobucket.com/user/shay1000/library/?sort=3&page=1

Still not working. it's got me fucked, I give up

Can't paste the link I put in to show you as it has an error so it would show you the link and not the picture.

In the reply window , above message field is a series of buttons.

Click on the Img button , it will put [img] in the message field, paste your link, and then hit the Img* button.( Img becomes Img* button when pressed)

yeah, I think I did that. I hit and it still did not post, just a link that did not want to open. Thanks for walking me through this, and despite a degree in engineering (not got through an online site in the USA) it still befuddles me.

Oh well, time to get pissed.

and to be honest, I am more interested in assistance with my query re vacuum taps than posting that someone else seems to have done (many thanks).

The tap question may be found in this thread
