Your bikes look fantastic Steve. M12 x 1.0 is a very odd size thread indeed. Usually 1.25 would be the finest M12 pitch. _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

Your bikes look great Steve. You've certainly put in the effort. The little last minute things can take a lot of time.
I ordered a new battery for the YB8. I was going to order a standard FZR1000 sized battery -YTX14- but luckily I checked. Of course Bimota uses a different size -CB10- and the other battery wouldn't have fitted in the box. The new lithium battery will be 1.1kg compared to 3.9kg of the original so that's quite a saving.
I've just spent 2 days rebuilding and bleeding the rear brake and getting it working. It's a pain to get all the air out sometimes. I've even got a vacuum bleeder and it didn't help much. I don't even use the rear brake on the track!
I fitted a new Koso tacho as the standard one started playing up. I hope it works well.
I've just got to fit the bellypan and load the van and I'll be out to the track setting up tomorrow. See you all there. |

But did you know it is an authentic Bimota? It has the Bimota badge of authenticity on the triple clamps and Bimota stamped on the frame. It was a great find so we stole it for our display for a little while. |

The Bimota book does mention that they built the Paton frames , but never gets mentioned anywhere else. |
