DB5C which I assume has been Motocorse makeover (looking at those $$ Ohlins forks!)

£15k in Japan

Nice...but really its just a make over paint wise for Moto Corse on that bike...the early 999cc engines they made DB5's from were called "mille" for a 1,000...and these were all single seater bikes with the very same ohlins forks and rear shock and yokes as per this bike....It does have nice Titanium MotoCorse end cans on it...which are shockingly expensive...£2K plus...but again...for a moto corse they've stopped short...as the headers and link pipes on that bike are standard bimota items and not the titanium MotoCorse oversize ones...a full system from them is £4500...plus tax..plus shipping, plus insurance plus import duty and Post office Fee....Still has standard DB5 wheels...normally Oz wheels are other lightweight bling fitted by MotoCorse...early clocks...early pegaso ECU...running glitches at 5-6thou...Other than that...yeh..nice...a Db5R would be a better buy...and with carbon bodywork, same suspension, OZ wheels...etc etc...but then I am in a privileged position to say so......

I've learnt something there about the early bikes having Ohlins forks then. So the 5R has them as well?

Cheeky Dog...or rather "lamb"...of course the 5R has Ohlins...F&R...you getting forgetful in your old age?...Of course the forks aren't branded with Ohlins anywhere...as Bimota fit their own bespoke billet bottoms on them....Milles are favoured as they had fibreglass fairings over later injection moulded plastic stuff...and also ally tanks...single seaters only....Final final DB5R's came with red anodised marzocchi fronts and extreme Tech rears....usual bimota stuff...changing suppliers all the time depending on who theystill had credit with...
