Don't call me shirley on the forum 😉
Haven't tried swapping them but I'd ass-ume the tolerances from one carb to another would be similar.

I was recommended to use some lube

Update.

I took the seals off and slipped them onto a small socket then span them in my leccy screwdriver against some glass paper.
Then I dropped one and couldn't find it, so I packed up ... which is when I found it again Smile
I assembled the carbs using some rubber grease and the floats located. The bike stated and ran better, but starting was a bit off. I've run it up a few times since and its getting better.

MOT'd it on Saturday before getting ill for the rest of the long weekend.

I found this thread on carb cleaning which looks good http://old-skool-suzuki.proboards.com/thread/1239/mikuni-40mm-carbs-bst-bible

Got the bike up and running on a temporary tank. Just fitted the tank again just now. There is a small tapping just next to the electrical connection coming from the centre of the tank underneath, where does this tapping connect to? Been that long I can't remember now lol!
