|
|
Hi folks its been awhile since I last posted, so I thought I would update on the scenario.
Finally got hold of a Corse exhaust end can only s/hand but in mint condition.
All the way from Japan....customs and excise was the killer 😕
Anyway I have forgotten how to post photos on here...will get round to sorting it out another day......too busy sunning myself on the Algarve at the moment 😎
I have not managed to find a set of down pipes so may have to get a set made from tit or just plain old stainless,or just fit the end can with an adaptor to the original pipes.
Yes I know its not ideal as the Corse pipes are a larger diameter 47mm I think ?
Apologise for not being so active on here...no excuse I know....😨
Hope you stay safe and sunnyside up 😉
Right off for another beer and a happy new year to one and all 😊 |

You did well to find one of those... Pricey I'll bet... Are you missing the 2:1 link pipe???... I thought that the modded by bimota corse add on kits were just the end can...linking straight into the Bimota standed fitted headers and 2:1 collector... As the standard shotgun twin pipes go into one pipe, then into the link pipe?... Evidently on these bikes bimota provided kelvin fcr39 flatslides and a modded petrol tank also to provide space for the twin cable push pull system that the carbs need....but I'm not certain... |

I sure did well in finding one of them....pretty rare by all accounts.
No it did not come with a 2:1 connector...shame about that 😕
It would have made life alot easier if it did.
But life is full of surprises 😨
I have offered the can upto the link pipe but it does reach....so will have to get one manufactured.
Thanks for the reply 2bims 👍 |

My DB4 came with an aftermarket single carbon muffler when I bought it. The 2 into 1 connector looks like it's been made up to suit _________________ '99 DB4 #104, '96 SB6 #1165, '94 DB2 J #652, '99 DB4 #088, '08 VTX1800, '93 ZXR750R M1, '95 ZXR750, '95 ZXR750 Race Bike, '94 CBR400rr NC29 Race Bike, '94 CB250, '49 BSA C10 250, '61 BSA A10 650, '89 ZXR750, '91 Ducati 851 |

It's not so much to fit the push/pull cables on the keihns as it's to allow for the fitting of the pod filters that point upwards in front of the tank. The exhaust system I think is bimota's own for a single can. There is a 2 into 1 made for the 900 Monsters(silmoto or staintune) I have the keihn FCR39s and a spaghetti header on my 900ss and it's for two cans with larger inlets. It's also wearing a tasty pair of forged Marchesini wheels _________________ 02 aprilia RSVR Mille, 02 aprilia SL1000 Falco

Don't have a picture of the link pipe off the bike, best picture I have on my computer is this.
Connector pipe connects straight to the bimota seperate pipes coming from each cylinder.
Hope you have a very understanding MOT garage as these cans are LOUD , and I mean LOUD really LOUD

I worked for Avroe's for 30+years as an engineer, but after the Lancaster era.
Loud they are but no way near as loud as a Vulcan bomber on full afterburners,so maybe I should compare the Corse can to one of these 😨 |
