|
|
Hi All,
I have a 2013 DB8SP. My problem is its idle seems to be too high at approx 1800 rpm. Aside from being irratating and noisy when stationary, espcially during police stops, it also causes the bike to push forward after closing down the throttle.
I have taken it to a Bimota dealer who says it is running at the correct rpms. I have also taken it to another delaer who has tried to link it to the Engine Management System using a Ducati diagnostic terminal. No luck there.
Everyone I have been to, excluding the Bimota tech, agrees the bike is idling too high, but no one seems to know how to adjust it. I also own a Ducati 999R and it idles around 1400 rpm. I know they are different motors but I wouldn't think the Bimoat would need to idle at 1800rpm.
Any suggestions would be welcome. |

Was going to say the same.....check theres sufficient slack in the throttle cable...if theres no adjustment left at the throttle go to the throttle body end....
What "bimota dealer" did you take it to?...you havent filled out your location or country? |

After the above checks , have a look at the air bleed screws on the right hand side of the throttle body.. |
