She's back on 2 wheels now mate & can start moving ahead again. The majority of the fabrication for the VDue track bike is completed now as well. I'll take it up to the mates workshop today so he can start building the wiring loom
Cheers

The rear axle. The spline on mine was twisted from an engine lock up I would say.
All fitted up with 2 wheels on it now. Just waiting on the return of my clutch/water pump cover from Bob & I can complete it. I managed to get a complete engine out of Japan but it is coming by sea freight so it will be 8 weeks away I think.
Cheers

Hiya

It should take a massive amount of torque to twist the axle, and I would be very surprised if a tyre could transmit anything like that amount when the engine locks up. But how else it could happen is a mystery!

The paint on the engine casing doesn't seem the be the most resilient!

All the best

Katy

The parts from Britain are finally arriving tomorrow & the parts from Japan in about 8 weeks. With any sort of luck she will be up & running in a few weeks.

Started her up today. A bit of 2 stroke noise and lots of smoke. The motor sounds good. When I get the water pump housing I will be able to take her for a ride.

Took her for a short first ride around the local race track. What a great little fun bike. A great laugh.
