Hi All,
Hopeing someone can help me out.
How are the two hoses that come frome the carb bodies connected, Does one hose from the left carb go to the left aribox and one to the right or do they both go to the left airbox?
Hope thats not too confusing

Can anyone give me any help with this? The carbs were sent to Piero for checking when I had other work done, so I know they are fine and the rest of the bike is standard but the top cylinder is fouling the plug, (dry, black, sooty).
I'm thinking I may have connected the Hoses from the carbs to the air boxes incorrectly?
Any help would be appreciated.

Not currently near my vdue and got no pictures showing them on my laptop but think from memory the carb vac pipes go to their corresponding air box and the second connection on the LHS airbox is for the fuel overflow. |

Hi vort28,
Thanks for the reply.
I have connected one from the left carb to the left box and the other one to the right box, and the same for the other carb, fuel overflow connected as yours.
This could be my problem?
If you get the chance or anyone else can confirm this It would be most helpful |

I have tried to look at mine but it's very hard to see where they go but I think the overflow does go into the Carbon air box as at one time mine was full of petrol . |

The hose will not make the carbs leak , they are just to give the fuel system the same presser as the air side of the carbs thats all and left to left right to right
Check float levels or for a bit of crap in the needle and seat etc ?

Mine was flooding the top cylinder when the sprag clutch was playing up. Bottom cylinder will drain into the exhaust. Thought it was a carb problem giving hydraulic lock on start up, but as I was correctly told by the fine people on this forum it needed a new sprag clutch. |
