Seems like indicators were an option on the HB2? Many period photos show no indicators.

Can anyone tell me where Bimota sourced the indicators for those bikes that had them? I'm guessing that they raided someone else's parts bin from the period, but who? from which bike?

An indications welcome (pun intended!).

(Hoping to be an HB2 owner soon!) Smile

Thanks

I don't know where they came from, but here is what they look like, at least on one bike!

Thanks SpikeC - unless someone here can help, I can see I'm going to have to spend every evening looking through early 80's bike mags trying to spot something with the same indicators.

Come to think of it, that's not too far from my normal evening in anyway!

Motorcycle specs.co.za is your friend on this. I would check Hondas that the HB2 was sourced from.

Nothing shown on the HB2 or HB3 in the Sarti Book - 25 Years of Bimota; sorry.

I once got a clean set of near new indicators for a Ducati F1 thinking they were the same as the Bim DB1 - but not so; however they did end up completing an F1 restoration in Huston, Texas.

Good luck with the search.

Thanks for looking Quad'. I'm new to all this, so my 1st reaction was - Bimota 25 years of Excellence - gotta get me one of those. Have you seen the price people are asking? Well yes I guess as a Bimotists, you are probably very well aware of how those book change hands for. Shocked me though!

Hunting around the web it seems possible to get hold of the indicator stems, but still no clue as to the identity/source of the indicators themselves.

Hello, have you tried bimotaclassicparts inItaly? They may well have the parts in stock (they do for the DB1) and if not, they may be able to tell you which indicators they are,

Cheers, MikeJ

Hello again,

it's probably a bit late now but they look like some Kawasaki LTD indicators from the late 70s/early 80s. Also the Z250 in the early 80s had similar ones on the rear,

Cheers, MikeJ
