the bike went down on the left side. so i think i do a complete paintjob on the fairing. powdercoat the frame the swingarm and the wheels. the bike stayed two years in a office of a car dealer. the engine runs but needs a oil service and a little bit of cleaning. First i thought about parting out the bike but every day i like it a bit more. it has two exhaust looking nearly equal but on one exhoaust is writen "for racing only". the carbs donīt have an airbox.

here she is

Welcome,

Glad you decided not to part the bike out.

I look forward to seeing pics of the tidy up.

Would anodizing the frame be a better option than powdercoat?

Cheers

Steve

Sad Looking at the lean angle it looks like you should read our thread on the dreaded side stand curse. Which is probably why the 6 went down on the left side? Welcome on board we will help as much as we can! Laughing

little update on my bimota. powdercoated the wheels, changed all wheel bearings, new tires fitted, bought an expensive part i looked 3 month for, new brake and cluth levers from ducati monster, oil and filter change and polished some parts.

first she donīt wanted to wake up then she needed longtime choke and after 20 minutes she idled nicely at 1k rpm.

Get that side stand mod done before anything else or you may loose all that hard work! Attaching that plank onto it may prove an issue once you start riding... especially left handers Wink

OR.........
Get onto Ebay.de and get yourself a 315mm side stand as there seems to be a rash of them at the moment. Much easier than doing the MOD I STOLE FROM POMPEY Wink

Like the white wheels and look forward to the new paint design Wink

@ evilchicken ...donīt no what type of air filters mounted. here is a pic of the engine... can someone tell me if there is something missing in the top of the frame? there are three bolt holes not filled.

thanks for all your advices for the sidestand mod... thought about and created my own solution. cutted the bottom and made a new bottom piece. fitted the stand and aligned the bottom plate with the ground now i weld the two pieces together. enlarged the stand 40mm.

has anyone a workshop manual or/and a illustrated parts catalog?
and my last question... in wich order you reassemble the front wheel axle?

I do notice you have the rubber mat/cover laying underneath the filters over the charging system. I was advised to remove it as it restricts the airflow over the alternator. I had to strip the whole lot out when my batteries stopped charging and discovered a large rubber seal completely wrecked inside due to over heating. The replacement was a suzuki rf900 item from a breakers yard! Wink I had no problems since....
