I don't think the holes in the frame are standard but it's where I mounted my Dyna Coils.
I mounted them on an alooy angle to get them in

cadmium plated the welded sidestand and a clearcoated with spraycan

my next projekt is ariving on saturday... an ugly 1980 yamaha xs 500. will completly overhaul her and build her to an bratstyle or street tracker (currently i'm not sure too many ideas in my head) |

Does this run OK.
I know the watercooled 1100 is a nightmare to set up without an air box |

A little late with this answer but I've now got two frames that are naked
Early frame, about #500ish.........
late frame about #1200ish
The holes are for mounting the coils. Bimota modified the mounting method on the later ones |
